About Gin Lin
Gin Lin is a researcher and curator specializing in contemporary art, with a focus on Asian and Asian diasporic practices. Grounded in postcolonial theory, diaspora studies, and feminist critique, her work examines how identity, memory, and place are interwoven and negotiated through contemporary art.
With experience across private museums, galleries, and auction houses in Shanghai, Taipei, and New York, Lin brings a distinctly cross-cultural perspective to her practice. She has curated and coordinated exhibitions across independent, institutional, and commercial contexts in the United States and Asia. Her research-driven approach emphasizes close collaboration with artists and the translation of critical frameworks into public-facing exhibitions, programs, and events.
Drawing on her background in finance alongside an M.A. in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art, Lin integrates scholarly research with strategic and financial insight. Her practice balances curatorial vision with sustainable production, audience development, and commercial collaboration, bridging academic research with creative, commercially informed communication.
Gin Lin
